About Emma
Born and raised in South Auckland, I am very proud to serve my local community.
I have always loved connecting with, and caring for people. Combining this with my love of writing and presenting, becoming a celebrant was the perfect career for me. Since graduating from The Celebrant School in 2011, I have gone on to create hundreds of beautiful ceremonies.
My natural presentation style is light, warm, inclusive and down-to-earth. It’s important for me that everyone feels included and engaged.
I am also a freelance Graphic Designer and Copywriter and in my spare time keep busy acting and directing in community theatres throughout Auckland.
For funerals, I draw on my past experience as a Funeral Director and running a Bereavement Support Group.
I am passionate about what I do and work hard to ensure your ceremony is exactly what you want.

We had no idea how to choose a celebrant, so when a google search popped up with a celebrant called Emma Love, we were intrigued. One meeting later and we were 100% certain that Emma was the celebrant for us. Emma was incredible, she completely personalised our ceremony, exactly what we wanted – even though we had no idea what that was! When she sent through her ‘draft’, we were both moved to tears with how perfect it was. The ceremony went off without a hitch and everyone, even the toughest of men, had a tear in their eye whilst smiling ear to ear. She incorporated all the hilarity we wanted, whilst touching everyone’s hearts with the serious stuff. We would recommend Emma to absolutely everyone wanting the most perfect celebrant experience imaginable. She even recommended we do a sand ceremony to symbolise our ‘blended’ family and provided the jar and coloured sand. It was perfect in every way, thankyou so very much Emma.

We highly recommend Emma to anyone looking for a wedding celebrant. From the first “get to know each other” meeting, we just clicked with her – she is very easy to talk to and a genuinely caring person. We could tell right away that she wanted to get to know us well enough to do our ceremony justice and she wanted to be involved in a way that would make our special day the best day ever.
From the two initial meetings, the ceremony that she wrote for us was one of the best ceremonies either of us have ever read and had all of our guests on the day in tears. Everyone commented on what a fantastic ceremony it was and how it made them all remember back to their wedding vows and if they were actually living them – that’s how special her words were.
On the day, she was fully involved in making sure that everyone was calm, everyone knew where and what to do, and she looked beautiful herself as our celebrant. Her calm demeanour on the day was a godsend to various members of our wedding party.
We had numerous comments on what a fantastic job she did and what a lovely lady she was from various guests who attended the wedding and both Paul and I cannot thank her enough for the amazing job she did for us on our special day.

When my husband and I were searching for amazing celebrants for our wedding, we stumbled upon Emma Love and her name says it all! Emma was welcoming and responsive from the beginning. Her philosophy I think is to help each couple create a ceremony that is authentic and personal as possible. She was incredibly flexible with what we wanted to include offering suggestions and input into what would work or what wouldn’t. One of the biggest smiles from the day was the moment Emma asked guests during the start of the ceremony to turn to someone they didn’t know and introduce themselves – the noise! It was brilliant. A fantastic start to our wedding and marriage – a huge thank you Emma. The ceremony set the scene beautifully and it was our favourite part of the entire day.

With no idea how this all works, we looked online and found Emma Love. From the first meeting with Emma Love, she was so welcoming and I felt very comfortable and I established a great rapport with her, and I knew at that first meeting, she was going to marry us.
Amy lived in Hawai’i, so Emma had to communicate via email to confirm finer details between both of us, but it was so easy and really relaxed. Advising the best choices of words and guiding us both of the format of the day, we both felt very happy with her guidance for our special day.
